Take the Pledge: No Hillary Rove

This is not about being anti-Hillary or pro-Obama. This is about what principles we stand for in our party.

- Whereas I believe that honesty and integrity are Progressive Democratic principles.
- Whereas the Clinton campaign and its surrogates have repeatedly engaged in tactics of mudslinging, dishonesty, race-baiting, innuendo, fabrication, and Willie Horton-style swiftboating.
- Whereas these campaign tactics are practiced by the Karl Rove right-wing machine and I rejected them when Rove used them.
- Whereas I reject a winning-at-all-costs strategy as being against our party’s principles.
- Whereas it will hurt our party more to win using Rovian politics of division than to lose an election.
- Whereas if we reward a candidate for using Rovian politics our party becomes as bad as Rove’s party.
Therefore, I pledge not to reward the politics of division and deceit and will not support Hillary Clinton's campaign until she denounces and rejects the campaign tactics she and her surrogates have used.
May Peace Prevail.
P.S. - and yes, I would equally reject any similar campaigning by ANY Democrat. It's just that only one Democrat has used these tactics.
